My vision for our Schools

As your dedicated School Trustee, in SD46 (Sunshine Coast BC) I am committed to building on our successes and addressing the evolving needs of our students and Community. Here’s what I stand for and what I will continue to champion if re-elected for a 3rd Term.

Continuing the Goals & Values of our Strategic Plan for 2024 - 2029

My Purpose & Top Priority is ensuring the full implementation of the goals of the 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.  This plan is our roadmap to success, and I am dedicated to "walking the walk," not just "talking the talk," to achieve all of its objectives. We must embody the 4 Values, 9 Strands, and 1 Aspirational Goal to truly benefit our students and staff.

Beyond that, I am an independent steward, focused entirely on student achievement, success and well-being from their early years to kindergarten all the way through to Grade 12 Graduation in our District.

I am a Student Success & Community First Trustee, meaning that my focus is the whole School Community, its stakeholders, from Educators, Principals, Teachers, E.A.’s, Support Staff, Employees, Parents, Guardians, Grandparents & all Caregivers & Families with a student first priority always at hand.

... and to all of the positive contributing Community members & Supporters in every & all aspect. Our Constituents.

A collaborative approach

My experience has shown me the power of working well with all stakeholders in our District. I believe in a steady and consistent approach—listening, participating, and collaborating with staff, parents, students, educators, constituents, and fellow Trustees. This ensures that every voice is heard and that our decisions reflect the best interests of our school community.

Prioritizing student well-being

I am deeply committed to ensuring quality education opportunities and fostering safe, inclusive environments for all students. This includes a strong focus on anti-bullying and anti-racism initiatives, promoting compassionate systems leadership awareness, and maintaining open lines of communication with parents and the community. Our students deserve nothing less.
